Your Past is Not Your Future
This therapy has a strong focus on past experiences and past relationships, which has shaped who we are in the present and the certain ways we act/behave. As your therapist, I will focus on one major area of your therapy as opposed to multiple components at one time. There is no doubt that looking into your past is critical in therapy as it has shaped who have you become as a person today.
Psychodynamic therapy may be paired with cognitive behavioral therapy to make advancements in your therapy sessions with me. An in-depth look into your past may assist in determining how you think and act today, and then we proceed in creating techniques to change those thought processes to better your life for the future.
